About me…
I moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 2018, but I was born and raised in Michigan, where I got my start in media at 15. My first job was at my local radio station, where I managed commercials during sporting events. By the time I graduated high school, I had worked my way up to news reporter.
After a gap year working at the station, I joined the U.S. Air Force as a Munitions Systems Craftsman. My service spanned about 10 years, with both Active Duty and the DC Air National Guard. I stayed in DC after leaving the military and government work, later moving to Toledo, Ohio, where I worked as a morning news anchor at iHeartRadio’s News/Talk station.
While in Toledo, I felt it was time to come “home.” My mom and dad were originally from the Valley, so I decided to join my mother and much of my extended family. That decision brought me to the Valley and led me to television. In March 2020, I joined the KRGV Channel 5 News team and worked my way up to evening anchor prior to leaving.
These days, I run a podcast focused on data-driven stories around the Rio Grande Valley. I enjoy exploring the unique aspects of this region, bringing information to the community through a mix of storytelling and analytics.
Thanks for taking a moment to get to know me. If you have a story idea or just want to say hello, don’t hesitate to reach out!
