Rudy Mireles is an award-winning journalist, real estate professional and market analyst whose career has been built around understanding people, explaining complex issues and serving communities.

A longtime Rio Grande Valley journalist, Rudy has covered the people, businesses and economic forces shaping South Texas. His work has earned some of the industry’s top honors, including a Lone Star Emmy Award for Best Anchor and Best Reporter Award from the Texas Association of Broadcasters. Today, he continues that work as host of Border Report Live, a Nexstar Media Group program focused on forces shaping the U.S.-Mexico border and available to the company’s more than 200 television stations across the country.

Before his career in television, Rudy served nearly a decade in the U.S. Air Force as a munitions specialist, including multiple deployments to the Middle East. After making the Rio Grande Valley home, years spent reporting across the region gave him a unique perspective on its communities, economy and continued growth.

With an academic background in economics, Rudy brings that perspective to residential and commercial real estate, market intelligence and business development. His approach goes beyond the transaction, combining local knowledge, data and clear communication to help clients understand both the opportunities in front of them and the larger market surrounding their decisions.
